北京苹果英语电影俱乐部宗旨在于利用电影这个语言的载体, 使我们的会员能够实现三个目的, 一是学一些鲜活的美国口语, 二是了解美国英语思维, 三是从一些侧面了解国外丰富的文化和日常生活.虽然对大多数人来说去英国或者美国有些难度, 但看一场国外电影则格外容易.选择电影有三看：一看语言含量是否大，二看内容是否贴近生活，三看发音是否清晰地道。理解英语口语的习惯用法和美国人独有的思维方式，要多看多听，通过中英文字幕的辅助，就能很快适应。一开始可以用中文思考美国人的逻辑思维，边思考边背诵，大约坚持一段时间左右。之后可以大体上用英文思考，把美国人的逻辑慢慢变为自己的了。
北京苹果英语电影俱乐部将为会员免费提供与电影有关的英语资料, 在三个方面推荐了解西方的著名电影, 一是国外的历史文化电影, 如特洛伊, 十戒等有关西方文化源头希腊神话, 罗马神话和圣经故事的电影. 二是美国大片, 不以类举, 影片多多, 以高科技和经典神话为主. 三是国外日常生活影片, 描写国外家庭感情, 社区生活和社会发展的电影. 北京苹果英语电影俱乐部另外将不定期与电影院的电影俱乐部一起合作观赏经典英文电影.
